A. Keane Design: WRITING/EDITING SERVICES

We're well aware that some folks have serious issues with trying to write any type of copy, even the simplest of letters.  Don't feel bad about it...every single person wandering around the planet has a special set of skills they seem to have been born with, and only some of us can count working with the written word among them.  Believe us, we often wish we could do things like repair automobiles, install plumbing, or even do basic Algebra (see, it scares us so much we gave it a capital A!)...but since we can't, we have to rely on other people to do these things for us.  So, don't waste another moment of your time becoming frustrated and upset with authoring your own materials...we'll happily take the burden off your shoulders.  And for a very reasonable price, too!

At A. Keane Design we have more than twenty five years of experiencing writing a variety of 'things' for others...going all the way back to our lucrative high school term paper authoring days.  Yes, we almost always got A's.  There was that one B that still keeps us up at night, but we're trying to move forward.  We've done copy for websites, newsletters, business forms, catalogs and products, advertisements, legal issues, resumes...you name it, we've done one.

We pride ourselves on being able to write about any topic you care to toss our way, and if its something we don't know much about we'll take the time to research it thoroughly before we put pen to paper.  Okay, really it's fingers to keyboard but that just doesn't sound as lovely.  Rates start as low as .20 a word, and we've been known to just charge by the project instead which saves you money for sure.  In case you hadn't noticed, we tend to lean toward the verbose side.

COPY WRITING

Hmm, what can we say about this one?  It's pretty easy, really...if you need something written, we'll write it.

EDITING

Does your existing material seem lacking?  Do you have stuff that needs to be reworked or proofed but you don't have the time?  We'd be happy to take care of it for you!  It always helps to have a third party edit your work...heck, WE miss things, too.  Don't let your customers see your mistakes...our very favorite was a letter we received from a business apologizing for causing us any incontinence.  We THINK they meant 'inconvenience' but were afraid to ask!  Sure, word processing programs have built in spelling and grammar check, but they are FAR from foolproof.  Nothing beats a human being reading over material...we've seen serious errors in published NOVELS, even!  Yikes!

'GHOST' AUTHORING

This is when we write things for you and you get to pretend that YOU wrote it.  Kind of like that whole term paper thing.  We promise, we'll never tell...several of our clients are just to busy to keep up with things like blogs or newsletters, so we use our wordiness to keep things fresh for them.  Once we see a sample of your writing or listen to you speak, it's easy for us to mimic your style so that no one will ever have a clue!

RESUME CREATION

In these times, you need a resume that is the equivalent of opening a letter full of exploding confetti.  You better stand out if you want to stand a chance...and we can help you do just that.  We've been writing resumes for twenty years, and every single client has gotten results.  Within the past month or so, we've come up with a new format that we think is PERFECTION...it will put all you have to offer on a single page and be SO easy for your prospective employer to read that they won't be able to help themselves from picking up the phone and calling you right away.  Yes, we embellish...turning things like 'waitress' into 'dining room staff member, responsible for ensuring guests received quality meals in an efficient manner while maintaining a friendly, warm atmosphere'.  An accurate description of your employment that allows readers to truly understand WHAT you did and HOW you did it is essential...a job title just won't do!  We'll even re-work your resumeto tailor it to the specific job you're applying for.
