Atlas Nitrile Touch Gloves: THINK PINK! Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Breast cancer.  You’ve known someone with it, loved someone with it, or perhaps lost someone to it.  You may have even had it yourself, or have it right now.  182,460 women will be diagnosed with it this year.  Our owner, Lynne, is a breast cancer survivor (she marked her 5 year cancer-free milestone in December of 2008)…as is her sister.  My mother is a breast cancer survivor.  And that’s the key there…SURVIVOR.  Each year, the number of SURVIVORS increases.  Why?  RESEARCH.  Organizations like the Susan. G. Komen for the Cure have invested billions (yes, since 1982 they’ve come up with more than a BILLION dollars!) in researching to find a CURE for this disease and helping women who have it live longer and better.

Here’s your opportunity to help AND profit…Atlas Gloves is a sponsor of the Komen for the Cure organization and they’ve designed a special version of the AMAZING Nitrile Touch Gloves…it’s PINK, of course, with a great tag that will provide your customers with all the details of the program.  Simply put, for every pair of gloves sold, Atlas will donate $.70 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.

We don’t have enough room in our warehouse to stock these, but the nice folks at Atlas will let us order them in for you.  The minimum is a dozen per whichever sizes you want….they come S, M and L.  So start to THINK PINK and give us a call or drop us a line today!

Those Dramm Scissors!

Order your Dramm Garden Scissors today, my fine friends…your customers are looking for them, and they will be DELIGHTED to see them right in their hometown store.  Why are they looking for them?  Well, much to OUR delight they were featured in the March 2009 issue of IN STYLE magazine (not sure if that really needs caps but it feels like it does).  Look for them on page 329.

AND Family Circle magazine will be featuring them in an upcoming issue, so the trend will continue.

We love magazine features (I know, I say that every time…I can’t help it, the writer in me ADORES being contacted by any print publication) and will always let you know what’s where so you don’t miss out on that sale…and the chances of the buyer who sought out that featured item picking up something else or telling a friend what a GREAT STORE you have because it is SO ON TREND…well, they’re pretty darn good odds!

We’ve been busy this month, which tells us most of you are doing okay and that folks are still shopping.  That’s fantastic, and we feel very blessed that you all keep ordering from us.  Anything we can do to help, let us know…we aim to please and want your sales on the rise despite this whole ‘economy’ thing.

In other news, we got six inches or so of fluffy white snow yesterday with the thermometer reading a balmy FIVE DEGREES.  I’m not sure I’m ever going to be warm again.  Spring now, please!

Hope all is well where you are!

Amy
